PTE

PTE (Pearson Test of English) is another standardized test designed to measure the English language proficiency of non-native speakers. It assesses four language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking, and it is recognized by universities, employers, and immigration authorities in English-speaking countries such as the UK, Australia, Canada, and the United States. PTE is administered by Pearson, which is a leading educational company that provides a range of products and services for learning and assessment. There are two types of PTE tests: Academic and General.

The Academic PTE is used to assess the language proficiency of students who want to study at universities or other higher education institutions where English is the medium of instruction. The General PTE is used for non-academic purposes such as immigration, work, or training programs. Scores on the PTE range from 10 to 90 and are based on the performance of the test taker in each of the four language skills. The test is taken by millions of people worldwide each year, and it is known for its computerized format, which provides quick results to test takers.
