IELTS

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is a standardized test designed to measure the English language proficiency of non-native speakers. The test assesses four language skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. IELTS is widely recognized by universities, employers, and immigration authorities in English-speaking countries such as the UK, Australia, Canada, and the United States. It is administered by the British Council, IDP Education, and Cambridge Assessment English. There are two types of IELTS tests: Academic and General Training.

The Academic IELTS is used to assess the language proficiency of students who want to study at universities or other higher education institutions where English is the medium of instruction. The General Training IELTS is used for non-academic purposes such as immigration, work, or training programs. Scores on the IELTS range from 0 to 9 and are based on the performance of the test taker in each of the four language skills. The test is taken by millions of people worldwide each year.
